#23 Creating DITA-OT docs
From scratch using only Copilot (no Oxygen)
DEMO. ANALYZE. DOCUMENT. REPEAT.
This (very short) Substack post is about a step by step proof of concept for creating/maintaining DITA-OT docs using only Copilot (no Oxygen tools). The details are in part 4 chapter 12 of docx #436. The demo is deployed on Render.
One of the goals is to put as little “intelligence” into the doc sources as possible, relying on an LLM to maintain the doc. But this demo has nothing in common with “vibe” (blind) coding (where you lose control of what’s being developed). You could at any time
Switch to Oxygen XML tools. The DITA-OT files that Copilot creates are 100% standard.
Manually edit the DITA-OT files.
If the LLM had audio input/output enabled, you could conceivably manage the entire document dev chain with voice commands. This demo fits in with my professional focus on product dev using AI dev tools.
